Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano drove a special paint scheme in the June 4 race at Gateway in Madison, Ill. that celebrated the 100th win for Shell Pennzoil while partnering with Team Penske. The 100th milestone came on May 29, when Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden drove the Shell Powering Progress Chevrolet to his first Indianapolis 500 win. Loganos commemorative scheme featured a mosaic of each victory that led to the 100 triumphs.
