This September, Jimmie Johnson will drive the No. 48 Throwback Lowes Chevrolet SS at Darlington. The race car will feature a blue-and-cream paint scheme and Lowes logo used back in the 1940s-60s that will remind fans of the days of yore.
Johnson is no stranger to Victory Lane at Darlington, winning three races at the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval (most recently in 2012). In addition, hes compiled nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes with an average finishing position of 8.4.
