Earnhardt joined Richard Petty, Junior Johnson, Bill France Jr. and Bill France Jr. Each year the five inductees will have some piece of history associated to them featured in the Hall of Honor at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. This piece of history will be on display until the next class of individuals is added. The car chosen to be featured in Dale's honor is the 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo that he drove to victory at the Fall race at Talladega. This victory was Earnhardt's 76th and final win. Earnhardt passed 17 cars in the last 5 laps to take the victory. Earnhardt, known as the "Intimidator" won 11 NASCAR races at Talladega and was one of only two drivers to win 7 Championships.
