Bowyers racing debut in 1985, at the age of five in motocross racing, and his transition to four wheels in 1996 was just the beginning of many victories throughout his career that earned him a 2002 NASCAR Weekly Racing Series (NWRS) Midwest championship following a second Modified championship at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS and a Late Model crown in Odessa, Mo.
