Coming out of Turn 4 on the last lap, Hamlin, driving the No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota Camry, made a last-second sprint to the front and held off the second-place finisher by 0.01 seconds the closest finish in DAYTONA 500 history. Toyota drivers led 158 of the races 200 laps with Hamlin leading a race-high 95 of them.
